The seats on Air France 777 business class are reverse herringbone which provides ample space and two windows if you’re lucky! My mom and I had middle seats in the 3rd row. A pillow, blanket, and slippers were provided. I thought it was worth giving Air France a try to see what it offers if you choose to redeem your Virgin Atlantic miles with them. Part 1 of this review, covering the Air France Boeing 777-300ER business class seat, is here. Air France business class food and drink. Before take-off I was given a glass of Joseph Perrier Cuvee Royale Brut champagne.
New Air France high density 777 business class seats. By the way, while totally insignificant, avgeeks may notice that the renderings are from the A350, based on the windows and overhead bins. 😉 Air France’s new 777 premium economy class. The high density Air France 777 will feature 28 premium economy seats in a 2-4-2 configuration. Air France 777-300ER Business Class Cabin and Seat Selection Air France has several 777-300ER layouts; ours was a 4 cabin plane, with 58 business class seats in two business class cabins. The forward small cabin is rows 3-6, while we were in the main business class cabin, which is rows 9-20. We work to make sure you get a peaceful night's sleep in a seat that transforms into a full bed. Nearly 2 m / 6.5 ft in length, it is made of comfortable materials and an armrest that lowers.
This Air France Business Class Review on a 777-300ER is thanks to my husband's organizing a surprise trip for us to Paris, our very first trip without our son, made possible by close friends who looked after him.

The window seats, A and L, are ideal for solo travelers, while couples who don't need a window will prefer E and F. We were in 15E and 15F.

Air France Business Class Seat and Bed Quality
The Air France Business Class seat is from Safran (which acquired Zodiac Aerospace in 2018), so it will be familiar to anyone who's flown Cathay Pacific Business Class, EVA Business Class, and similar business class products. With the exception of JAL Sky Suite Business Class window seats, this is the type of business class seat I most prefer, even more so than Qatar Qsuites Business Class, which, while very private, has a cramped footwell area due to the way the tray table is stowed.
The seat is 21.5 inches wide, and on each seat was a blanket and pillow.
.
There's a small storage cabinet at shoulder height that contains the headphones, room for small items such as a phone or tablet, and even a mirror on the inside of the door–a nice touch that is surprisingly rare in business class.

.
The power outlet isn't as conveniently placed as on Cathay Pacific or EVA; it's by the magazine rack, below knee level. I did like that there was already Evian bottled water stowed there, however.
.
The footrest connects with the reclined seat to form the flat bed. Except for takeoff and landing, the area below it can be used to store shoes or a small bag.
.
When fully reclined into a flat bed, it's quite long–nearly 79 inches (200 cm), which made it a good choice for my husband, who is 6'5.”

Air France Business Class Menus and Dining
Here's the menu for our flight:
.
We'd already dined in the Air France Lounge at JFK, where my husband had been served a terrible mushroom risotto, but I'd enjoyed a delicious main of shrimp with basil mozzarella flan:

The Verdict
Air France 777 Business Class Cabin
While we were on an overnight flight, which from the East Coast to Europe makes for a short night and not enough sleep, I liked the Air France Business Class seat, which is from Safran (which acquired Zodiac). These are similar to the seats in Cathay Pacific Business Class and EVA Business Class, and I prefer them to the staggered seats in SWISS Business Class, Brussels Business Class, etc. While not as private, as, say, Qatar Qsuites Business Class, there's more space in the footwell, which I value more than the closing suite door, as it means I'm not constantly knocking my feet or legs against a tray table or the walls of the footwell.
The flight itself encountered a fair amount of turbulence, but absent that, I would have slept quite well.
We focused on maximizing sleep, so we didn't have the dinner on board, but the Air France Lounge serves a pre-flight dinner that offers the same appetizer and main courses that are served on board.
Pre-flight service was slowed somewhat by the full flight, but was pleasant and helpful.

Air France 777 Business Class Images
I flew Air France business class last summer from Boston to Paris en route to Zagreb, Croatia. My pictures aren’t super extensive, but I want to share anyway. This was a special flight because it was my mom’s first time in business class. You can read more about how I booked this trip to Croatia here. The flight to Paris from Boston is quick, typically about 6.5 hours. This doesn’t give you much time to enjoy business class like on a longer flight but we certainly appreciated the nice wine, meal, and lie-flat seats. Here are some photos from our flight on Air France 777 business class from Boston to Paris.
